Like us, they are filled with many emotions. They can show Love, Attachment to their human, and Trust. They can feel and show Sadness and Pain. If you treat your Bird (no matter what size they are) without respect, if you tease them, poke at them, or harm them in any way, you'll lose their trust. Birds have a very long-term memory. Your bird may never forget or forgive you if you hurt them. Trust is important in every relationship, including the one with your bird. Your Trust, Attention and Love Is What They Live For! Your bird may do funny stunts, imitate your human language, and sing silly bird squawks just to make you laugh to get you to pay more attention to them. Like many other pets, birds will learn their name. Yes, even the little parakeets will know their own name. Calling them by their name is another way to give them personal attention, which they LOVE!
